
After a two-year break, the U18 talent show of the renowned "Adidas Next Generation Tournament" (ANGT) will once again make a stop at the Audi Dome: From January 20 to 22 next year, Munich will be the venue for one of the four preliminary round tournaments for the fourth time. The other preliminary round venues are Patras in Greece, Zadar (Croatia) and Belgrade in Serbia. The respective winners will qualify for the final tournament as part of the Euroleague Final Four 2023, the venue for which has not yet been determined.
The event in Munich will once again feature a top-class lineup: As in previous editions, serial winner Real Madrid is the favorite in the field of participants, along with big talent iin other EuroLeague clubs Armani Milan, Zalgiris Kaunas, Panathinaikos Athens and Alba Berlin. The third German representative is Ratiopharm Ulm.
Group and final games from 20 to 22 January
The eight participants will be divided into two groups of four, which will be played on Friday and Saturday. The respective group winners will play the final on Sunday (Jan. 22), all other teams will take part in the other placement games. The schedule and groupings will be announced at a later date.
The FCBB talents have already been invited to the grand final tournament twice (2018 and 2019). The best German placing to date was achieved by Bayern's youngsters when they reached the final of the 2018 qualifying tournament in Munich.

Doncic, Mirotic, Teodosic and Obst once at the Adidas Next Generation Tournament
In the past, numerous talents presented themselves at the ANGT, who are counted among the basketball celebrities today. For example, today's EuroLeague stars Vasilije Micic, Luigi Datome, Alberto Abalde, Goga Bitadze, Luigi Datome, Nikola Mirotic, Donatas Motiejunas, Dario Saric, Milos Teodosic, Jonas Valanciunas and the future NBA star Victor Wembanyama took part in the ANGT as youngsters. From Bayern's current professional team, Ognjen Jaramaz, Andreas Obst and Zan Mark Sisko as well as current loan players Jason George, Sasha Grant, Matej Rudan and Nelson Weidemann appeared at least once at the Adidas Next Generation Tournament.
