Danko Brankovic is considered one of Europe's great prospects at the five position and is in his second professional season with Cibona. Trained in the U19s of the traditional club in the two previous years, he made his debut in the demanding Adriatic League (ABA) in the 2020/2021 season with 14 short appearances and established himself there last year. The agile center scored just under ten points (two-point percentage: 68.3%) and five rebounds per game for the Adriatic League's eighth-place team, while averaging 10.5 points in the Croatian league.

Hee won the 2022 Croatian Cup and was voted Finals MVP. With Cibona, the youngster also brought the national championship back to Zagreb for the first time since 2019.
Brankovic took part in the 2018 European U18 Championship and 2019 European U20 Championship with his home country's selection teams and made his debut for Croatia's senior national team in February 2022 in the World Cup qualifiers, making a total of three appearances (4.7pts).
Danko Brankovic inspected the Audi Dome in recent days and will define his further program in consultation with the sporting management in the coming weeks. "I am very grateful to Bayern that such a large European organization takes care of my further path and I hope that I do not disappoint this trust in the coming years," the 22-year-old said during a visit to Munich and characterized himself as a player by saying: "I think I am very agile and fast for my size, but still have to improve physically."
Bayern-Sportdirector Daniele Baiesi said, "We followed Danko closely last year, he has a very intriguing combination of size, mobility and skill. He is a very intelligent young man, who plays with a motor and has big upside. He has already some high level experience, and we are delighted by the opportunity to help develop his talents.“
