Bayern Basketball sign Zan Mark Sisko until 2024

The original core of the team with which the Bayern Basketball team will start the new season has expanded further: After Othello Hunter, Augustine Rubit and Nick Weiler-Babb signed last week, playmaker Zan Mark Sisko has now also extended his contract with Munich by two years until the summer of 2024. The 25-year-old Slovenian has been playing for FC Bayern since the beginning of 2020. Vladimir Lucic, Ognjen Jaramaz and Corey Walden also still have valid contracts in their international spots.

Despite a lengthy injury the pass-first point guard Sisko was once again his team's most effective assist provider in the Bundesliga last season, averaging 4.4 assists. In the EuroLeague, he also scored 4.4 points per game.

"Important puzzle piece for our team"

"Zan Mark has become a pillar of our team thanks to his ability to direct a game, make the right pass and also his close connection with Coach Trinchieri and his ideas," said FCBB sporting director Daniele Baiesi on the contract extension. "He is and remains an important piece of the puzzle of our team."

Sisko, who is in his hometown of Llubljana and has already started individual training again and said: "First of all, I hope for our next season to have a year without as many problems as last year with Corona and injuries. I wish that for everyone in general. Then we will have a very good chemistry again and a team that will leave everything on the court and fight to the end in every game. We will give everything to get the titles and victories for our club and also for our fans, who are always there for us."
