The Bayern Basketball team is approaching the hot phase of its pre-season preparations: Head coach Andrea Trinchieri's squad left for Spain on Friday, where the Munich-based side will play two test games: At an invitational event in Llíria, a small town in the province of Valencia, the FCBB will first face last year's EuroCup semifinalists Básquet Club Andorra at the local Pla de l'Arc on Saturday evening (20:00). This is followed on Sunday evening (19:00) by the duel with Spanish EuroLeague rival Valencia Basket.
While Andorra unexpectedly suffered relegation from the first division last season and is aiming for a direct ACB return, four-time EuroCup winner Valencia is preparing for its comeback in the top flight. The new coach is former Spanish World and European champion Álex Mumbrú and a big addition is former Ludwigsburg player Jonah Radebaugh.

On October 1st vs Ulm
The Bavarians will travel with 13 players, still missing European Championship participants Andi Obst, Nick Weiler-Babb, Vladimir Lucic and Ognjen Jaramaz as well as Isaac Bonga (rehabilitation training). Valencia's Spanish international Jaime Pradilla as well as Klemen Prepelic (Slovenia) and captain Bojan Dubljevic (Montenegro) will be absent on the other side.
The new season begins for Bayern on October 1, at 18:00., with the BBL opener at the Audi Dome against Ulm.
