Bayern's basketball team will have to continue without Oscar da Silva: The 26-year-old national player suffered a medial ligament injury in his right knee during the EuroLeague game in Paris a week ago and underwent successful surgery in Munich this Wednesday. As a result, the power forward will definitely be out for the coming weeks.
Devin Booker is currently sidelined with a similar injury; the American has resumed light training this week.
Da Silva was recently part of the defending German champion’s starting lineup. In the domestic league, the Munich-born player averaged nearly 20 minutes of playing time (6.8 PPG), while in the EuroLeague, he played around 16 minutes per game (5.0 PPG / 3.0 RPG).
