Farewell from Munich: Yam Madar is leaving FC Bayern Basketball with immediate effect, as the German champion honors the 23-year-old point guard's request. Madar is returning to his home country of Israel, where he has signed a long-term contract with top-tier club Hapoel Tel Aviv.
Madar, originally from near Tel Aviv, joined Bayern this summer from Fenerbahce Istanbul and had signed a contract running until 2026. This agreement has now been terminated for a transfer fee.
"Yam approached us in recent days with the request to make a move back to his homeland possible. We wish him all the best for his future," said FCBB sporting director Dragan Tarlac on Thursday. "We will now assess whether we need to take any further action regarding our roster."
For Bayern, Madar played in all eight Bundesliga games (4.3 points per game, 12:20 minutes) as well as in the cup. In the EuroLeague, he participated in five games (4.2 points per game, 11:56 minutes).
FC Bayern Basketball wishes Yam great success on his future path!
