After a one-minute start-up phase, the Munichers started the game like they were shot out of a cannon with a 7-0 run.

The guests were looking for their second victory in the top European Basketball league and played hard to level things up again at 9-9. Bayern then defended very effectively and boosted their offense by means of pick-and-roll which led to some easy baskets - time-out "Dacka" with the score 13-9 and five minutes to play.  The Munich players played consistently to the big men and Devin Booker, Leon Radosevic and Danilo Barthel didn't disappoint and contributed significantly to the 21-17 lead after the first quarter.

With a determined 10-0 run, the Munich team started to pull away- time-out Istanbul. The visitors tried to break the rhythm of the German squad by playing a zone defense but Bayern reacted with a proven means against this defense variant: hitting from behind the arc. Petteri Koponen and Maodo Lo continued to pour in the points from deep and with four minutes to play in the half the hosts had a dominant lead at 42-25. FCBB played patiently and as a team and the fiercely fighting Turks were kept clearly at a distance. The Munich team made almost no mistakes and probably the best EuroLeague half-time performance so far. Darussafaka was completely unsettled by the power of the Bavarians and at the end of the third quarter there was no question that this game was over early - 87:50.

4th quarter:

Derrick Williams demonstrated his qualities at the beginning of the final quarter with a beautiful fadeaway jump-shot and the lead approached 40 points. With the help of two quick threes, the guests had a little to be happy about but Braydon Hobbs came off the bench and sunk two three-pointers. Bayern simply had a lot of fun and played impressively well, Alex King received time and scored a three and continued the trend of everything working for those wearing a red jersey.
