Quotes:
FCBB head coach, Dejan Radonjic: "We played very focused and smart today and therefore deserved to win. From now on we have to concentrate on the EuroLeague game against Podgorica on Friday".

Danilo Barthel: "Above all, it's a matter of the mind to master the everyday task in the league on this schedule. Today, we have done that in a confident manner, especially thanks to the good bench players, who may not get so many minutes in the EuroLeague. The task now is to regenerate well until Friday, because the game is very important for us."

Denis Wucherer, head coach of Würzburg: "Congratulations to FC Bayern Basketball on their well-deserved victory. We did quite well in the first half, although we didn't hit a shot from outside, we were always in the game and were able to implement what we set out to do quite well. At the beginning of the third quarter, we gave up the game."

1st quarter
Maodo Lo, Nihad Djedovic, Nemanja Dangubic, Danilo Barthel and Leon Radosevic formed the Starting Five of the Bavarians. After feeling each other out to start the game and having little success on offense for both sides the Munich team found a rythm and pushed a 10-4  lead after a three from Nemanja Dangubic's and a jump shot by Maodo Lo.  The Wurzburg defense left the FCBB plenty of room  and Petteri Koponen used this to hit another three and take a 13-6 lead. FCBB coach Radonjic played ten players in the first quarter and after ten minutes the German champions led 17-12.

2nd quarter
The Munich shooting percentage was anything but remarkable and the Lower Franconians used the chance to go on a 6-0 run which gave them the lead at 18-17. The Bavarians were strong on offense, but were still far from a constructive rhythm on offense. Suddenly a jolt went through the team,  Leon Radosevic nailed a three-pointer with the assist from Robin Amaize and forced a Wurzburg time-out. Radosevic shone with a great block, Maodo Lo drove the ball into the pain and was fouled and completed both free-throws for a31:27 lead with one minute to play in the half. Perry Ellis hit a three shortly before the break for the Wurzburgers, but Braydon Hobbs answered at the buzzer from about nine meters distance - 36-31 for Bayern after the second quarter.

3rd quarter
Bavaria came more focused out of the locker room and overran Würzburg with a furious 8-0 run and a 44-31 lead. The home team refused to slow down and a Hobbs bucket from beyond the arc propelled the team to a  52-33 lead. Wurzburg's Jordan Hulls hit two straight shots, but Vladimir Lucic did the same but from distance and the lead remained well into double-digits for Bayern. A Derrick Williams three raised the lead of the Bavarians to over twenty points with 12 minutes to play in the game. The top team of the BBL had things fully under control heading into the final quarter.

4th quarter

In the last part of the game the Munich team needed more than two minutes for the first points which were scored by Nemanja Dangubic. The Austrian national player Marvin Ogunsipe delivered fresh energy and helped maintain a large lead. The big lead was put at risk by some sloppy turnoversbut a three from Braydon Hobbs and then from Petteri Koponen came at exactly the right time and kept the win as a sure thing for the home team. The Lower Franconians worked hard and continued to find success on offense but Bayern cruised to a comfortable victory and remain still undefeated in the BBL.
