Short Biography

Anton Gavel, born on October 24, 1984, in Košice, is one of the defining figures in German basketball. As a player, the former guard won five German championships and four cup titles, including the domestic double with FC Bayern Basketball in 2018. After retiring, he moved into coaching and led ratiopharm ulm to a surprise German championship in 2023. Most recently, he was named BBL Coach of the Year before returning to Munich as head coach.
