Short biography
Johannes Thiemann is a German professional basketball player born on 9 February 1994 in Trier who primarily plays as a power forward or center. He began his basketball career in his hometown before making a name for himself in Germany’s Basketball Bundesliga. His years with Brose Bamberg and later ALBA Berlin were especially formative, as he won several domestic titles with both clubs. Thiemann is able to play both power forward and center, with his basketball IQ and physical presence in the paint regarded among his key strengths. He has also been an important member of the German national team and was part of the squads that won the 2023 FIBA World Cup and the 2025 EuroBasket title.
