The son of former national player Marc Suhr played in the Bamberg youth program before moving to Bonn via Würzburg and Frankfurt, where he celebrated the greatest success in the club's history with victory in the 2023 Basketball Champions League. He then moved to Paris, where he won the EuroCup and played in the EuroLeague for the first time. Kratzer is a partner in his home club BBC Bayreuth.
