Short Biography

Niels Giffey, born on 8 June 1991 in Berlin, moved to FC Bayern Basketball in 2022. He previously played for Alba Berlin, where he won two German championships, as well as for Žalgiris Kaunas in Lithuania and UCAM Murcia in Spain. During his college years in the USA, he won two NCAA titles with the UConn Huskies.

Giffey has now played well over 100 international matches for the German national team, including participation in the 2021 and 2024 Olympic Games. In 2023, he crowned his international career by winning the Basketball World Cup. With FC Bayern Basketball, he won the German Cup in 2023 and 2024 as well as the German Championship in 2024 and 2025.
