Questions and answers about your trip to FC Bayern Basketball

Ticket Purchase and Use

How do I get tickets for FC Bayern Basketball home games?

Tickets can be purchased via our ticket shop. Here you can select the desired match and seats and then select any discounts in the shopping basket. As soon as you are logged in, you can finalise your ticket purchase for the desired match by paying with PayPal or credit card.

When does the pre-sale start for the home games?

The pre-sale for our home games starts about 6-8 weeks before the game, so it's worth checking the ticket shop regularly.

How do I receive my tickets after purchasing them?

After purchasing your ticket, there are two ways to receive it:

  1. Using the FCBB fan app: All your ticket(s) are available for download via the FCBB fan app after booking. It is available free of charge for Android on Google Play and for iOS users in the App Store in German. To do this, log in with the email address you used to buy the tickets.
  2. Via your customer account: You can download your ticket(s) after booking via your customer account in .pkpass format or as a PDF. You can log in via our online shop at the top right by clicking on Login/Register. Via the ‘My tickets’ tab, then ‘Ticket info’, you can either select the ‘Download mobile ticket’ action via the dropdown to receive your ticket(s) in .pkpass format or the ‘Print at home’ action to receive your ticket(s) as a PDF. You can open the .pkpass format with the Wallet app on your iPhone. Android users will need a comparable app, such as ‘WalletPasses’. When downloading as a PDF, it is not necessary to print out the PDF document; you can show it on your smartphone without using paper.

What do I do if my name is on the ticket or on my season ticket?

Our tickets are generally transferable, but only if they are passed on in accordance with section 8.3 of our GTC.

How do I transfer or give a ticket to someone else?

To transfer your tickets, the first step is to register in our ticket shop. In the next step, click on your name and the “My tickets” field will appear under this tab. Select the ‘Ticket Info’ field for the desired game and then select the ‘Transfer Tickets’ action via the drop-down menu. In the last step, you must enter the recipient's details and the tickets can be transferred to the recipient. Make sure that the recipient's email address is entered correctly and that the person logs in with the same email address or creates a customer account. If the e-mail has not arrived, the recipient can alternatively log into the customer account using the corresponding e-mail address (it must be the same e-mail address to which the tickets were transferred) and accept the transferred ticket here. However, if the transfer does not work, the sender of the ticket can cancel the transfer themselves in their portal. Simply select the ticket under My tickets and then select the ‘Cancel transfer’ action via the dropdown menu. The transfer can then be carried out again.

How can I cancel my ticket?

Cancellation of tickets is generally not possible. Please send an email stating the reasons to basketball-tickets@fcbayern.com to find a solution to your request.

Do you need a ticket for a child?

Yes, everyone needs a ticket, as the electronic access control system means that no-one can enter the hall without a valid ticket. For safety and fire protection reasons, it is not permitted for children to sit on an adult's lap and not have their own ticket. The authorised maximum capacity may not be exceeded due to legal regulations. Persons who do not have a valid admission ticket are excluded from insurance cover. Children aged 0-13 receive a 50% discount on the day ticket price.

What do I do if I receive the error message: “An error occurred while authenticating the payment” at the end of my ticket order?

There may be an account lockout or you may have to create a new password under “Forgot password”. As you already have a valid customer account with FC Bayern or FC Bayern Basketball, your account may be blocked. In this case, please send an e-mail to basketball-tickets@fcbayern.com and we will help you to solve the problem.

Discounts and Ticket Offers

What discounts are available?

Young people aged 14-17, students and trainees receive a 30% discount on the day ticket price and are required to bring proof of this on the day of the match. There is a 50% discount on the day ticket price for senior citizens over 65 and people with severe disabilities, including the accompanying person, as well as all children aged 0-13.

What discount does the person accompanying a severely disabled person receive?

Both severely disabled persons and accompanying persons (if shown as B on their ID card) receive the 50% discount ‘Severely disabled persons from 50%’. You can select this in the shopping basket under the discounts tab.

How can I book discounted tickets?

Discounted tickets can be booked via the best seat search and at the end of your order in the shopping basket of the ticket shop. The best seat search function is located directly to the right above the hall plan on the page of your selected match. The best seat search allows you to select the discount for each ticket area. At the end of the shopping basket, you can adjust and book the tickets with the corresponding discount via a tab displayed.

How do I change a discounted ticket to a full-price ticket?
Example: I bought a ticket for my child, but now a friend is accompanying me to the match.

That's no problem, an upgrade ticket can be purchased at the upgrade ticket office on gameday. The cost of this is the difference between the discount level and the day ticket price. In principle, tickets can only be changed from a reduction to the normal price, but not the other way round.

The upgrade ticket office opens 90 minutes before kick-off on match days.

In BMW Park, the upgrade box office is located at box office 3 on the right-hand side in front of BMW Park.

In SAP Garden, the upgrade cash desk for our public customers is located at ticket counter T2.

What is the REWE family block?

The REWE family block is a discounted ticket offer especially for families and is located in ticket area 5. The prerequisite for booking is at least one adult and one child up to and including 13 years of age, but then unlimited accompanying persons can come along (e.g. also a child over 13 years of age). The ticket in the REWE family block costs €15 per person.

What is the student and trainee block?

The student and trainee blocks are a discounted ticket offer for students and trainees. A valid student or trainee ID must be presented on the day of the match. The ticket in the student and trainee block costs €10 per person and is available at selected home matches.

What does the ‘Visually impaired’ category mean?

We only release the ‘Visually impaired’ category for games that are almost sold out. As the name suggests, visibility is slightly restricted in these seats, but this only applies to people who are shorter than 1.70 metres.
