Youth Programs in Poland

FC Bayern Youth Cup

The FC Bayern Youth Cup is the world's biggest and oldest international youth football tournament series carried out by a football club. In 2012 the tournament took place for the first time and has been conducted eight times since its start. In 2018, for the first time, a team from Poland took part in the FC Bayern Youth Cup. The announcement of the FC Bayern Youth Cup in Poland took place during a special press conference in Bialystok. The Polish football legend Thomasz Frankowski, FC Bayern ambassador Giovane Elber and the mayor of Bialystok took part in the press conference.

A total of 200 school teams and 300 online registered players, aged between 14 and 16, competed for the desired places in the National Final. The National Final took place on the 22nd of April at Miejski Stadium in front of 15,000 visitors in Bialystok. The best players were selected by Klaus Augenthaler for the World Final in Munich.

With the support of the city of Bialystok, the Polish selection travelled to the World Final in Munich in May, where the youngsters could look forward to a 5-day training camp with FC Bayern in Munich and many highlights. A special experience for the participants from Poland was the "Meet and Greet" with the Polish national team captain Robert Lewandowski, with whom they could take many pictures. On Saturday, the youngsters visited the last Bundesliga home match in the Allianz Arena and saw FC Bayern Munich being awarded the Bundesliga trophy. On the following day, the team had the honour of playing in the Allianz Arena to determine the winner of the FC Bayern Youth Cup 2018. Team Poland faced teams from China, USA, Singapore, Thailand, Nigeria, Colombia, India and Germany and finished fifth.

In 2021, we are also looking forward to projects in Poland. Information will follow shortly.
