FC Bayern Football Schools & Partnerships
FC Bayern Munich maintains partnerships with the MLS Club FC Dallas and the University of Denver. The German record champion and the founding member of Major League Soccer (MLS) have been working closely together since February 2018. The central components of the partnership are the promotion of talents and the exchange of training philosophies. Since 2018, several visits by talented players to Munich, a training camp for FC Bayern amateurs and a friendly match between FC Dallas and the FC Bayern amateurs have taken place. The partnership with the renowned university from the US state of Colorado was announced in October 2018 in the USA. One of the aims is to teach the sports students of the University of Denver the training philosophy of FC Bayern.
From 2014 – 2020, Global Premier Soccer was the official FC Bayern North America Youth Partner. Together, we were active in 27 US states & Canada with more than 95.000 children and about 6.000 coaches. The players and coaches were part of a total of more than 100 football clubs. The contents of the partnership consisted of basic and performance programs, comprehensive training camps & sighting tournaments for players, as well as training workshops for coaches.
FC Bayern Youth Cup
The FC Bayern Youth Cup is the world's biggest and oldest international youth football tournament series carried out by a football club. In 2012 the tournament took place for the first time and has been conducted eight times since its start. As in previous years, the United States provided a powerful team for the World Final in Munich in 2019.
The National Final of the FC Bayern Youth Cup USA in Rock Hill with the most talented players of the American FC Bayern National Team was held again in February. From the 8th to 10th of February 2019, about 100 players took part in the National Final after having been carefully selected through numerous training courses throughout the country. FC Bayern legend Klaus Augenthaler was finally privileged to select the ten best players for the FC Bayern Youth Cup Final in Munich. The selected boys could hardly wait to represent their country as "Team USA" in the World Final of the FC Bayern Youth Cup in Munich in May.
The selection from the United States was looking forward to a 5-day training camp with FC Bayern in Munich and many highlights. Besides a "Freestyle Football Challenge", the personal Meet & Greet with Manuel Neuer was an unforgettable experience for the players. After the boys visited the last Bundesliga home game in the Allianz Arena on Saturday, they could enter the "sacred grass" on the next day to determine the winner of the FC Bayern Youth Cup 2019. Team USA prevailed against the teams from China, India, Singapore, Thailand, Nigeria and Germany and won the FC Bayern Youth Cup World Final 2019.
In 2020, due to the COVID-19-Pandemic, the 9th consecutive edition of the Youth Cup sadly had to be rescheduled. We are hoping to bring the project back to the United States of America in 2021 and see the American team compete in the world final.
