Since September 2023, FC Bayern has been offering U18 players worldwide the unique opportunity to spend an entire season developing under professional conditions at the renowned FC Bayern Campus, the record champions' youth performance centre. The FC Bayern Global Academy thus offers a unique platform for talented players outside Germany to make decisive progress towards their dream of playing professional football under the supervision of the highly qualified coaching team. In addition to daily training, academic tuition and cultural exchange, weekly matches against regional and national teams give them the necessary competitive edge.
Under the guidance of World Cup winner Klaus Augenthaler and his coaching team Diego Contento (co-coach) Lucas Scholl (assistant coach), Bernd Dreher (goalkeeping coach) and Raphael Sonnweber (assistant coach & match analyst), selected players receive first-class training based on the philosophy of Germany's most successful club. The 8-month programme, running from 1st September to 20th December and 1st February to 27th May, brings together everything young talents need to combine high-performance sport and school. FC Bayern offers a complete package that covers everything from accommodation, catering and German lessons to medical care. FC Bayern not only creates the perfect foundation for them to focus completely on themselves and their big goal, but also promotes important life skills such as teamwork, leadership qualities, independence and resilience.

In the 2026/27 season, the team will consist of 18 outfield players and three goalkeepers. In addition to daily training and athletics sessions, weekly matches will also form part of the agenda. All Global Academy matches will be streamed live to give parents the opportunity to follow their children and prepare the video footage for highlights. At the weekend, we provide the boys with tickets for every home league game of our FC Bayern at the Allianz Arena or organise joint team events, in addition to well-earned regeneration. In addition, they also have the exclusive opportunity to take part as ball kids at selected matches on the sidelines – it doesn’t get more varied than that!
