What is the FC Bayern World Squad?
The FC Bayern World Squad is an international project where Germany’s most successful club and its partner Audi select U19s players from across the world and accompany them as they chase their dream of becoming a professional footballer.
Former Bayern striker Roy Makaay will once again oversee the team as head coach, joined by Diego Contento as assistant. The team will also hold a training camp abroad as they prepare to face Bayern’s U19s.
Several players have already demonstrated what a huge platform the project offers. Daniel Francis from Nigeria was signed by FC Bayern and is currently on loan at Wacker Innsbruck. Viktor Orakpo now plays for Nice, Viktor Baier at Viktoria Plzen, and Siam Yapp at Burinam United in Thailand.
The teenagers’ entire journey from the selection process to training and the game against Bayern’s U19s in Munich will be documented live, with episodes being made available during the tour, giving fans the chance to experience the Class of '25 in real time. You'll be able to watch episodes on the club's YouTube channel, website and app.

Maycon Cardozo was signed by FC Bayern and made his professional debut against Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga in March 2026. Daniel Francis plays for Wacker Innsbruck, Viktor Orakpo is now at Nice and Viktor Baier at Viktoria Plzen. Players such as Sebastian Dabrowski, who signed a youth contract with Eintracht Braunschweig following his participation, or Giovanni De Abreu, who secured a professional contract with the Australian A-League club Perth Glory, clearly demonstrate that the FC Bayern World Squad can provide the decisive impetus for a variety of career paths.
In June 2026, the FC Bayern World Squad will kick off its sixth season. The players’ entire journey – from the selection process and training camp right through to the match against FC Bayern’s U19s in Munich – will be documented live on the Instagram account @fcbayernpathway. This will give viewers the chance to follow the progress of the Class of ’26 in real time.
