Two games, two goals, and an assist in January, and two more goals since then: Thomas Müller's start to 2020 could not have gone much better. The 30-year-old notched goals against Hertha BSC and Schalke 04, crowning excellent overall performances. Fans have been more than impressed, voting the Bayern legend January's Player of the Month. In Februrary, the striker has continued in the same vein, scoring at Mainz and notching and assisting again in the cup last 16 victory against Hoffenheim.

Müller ahead of Davies and Goretzka
The 2014 world champion picked up 36% of the vote, with Alphonso Davies and Leon Goretzka behind in second and third place with 25% and 13% respectively. Müller picks up his first of these awards in the current season.
"Of course I'm on a good run right now," Müller declared after the last 16 victory in the DFB Cup, before immediately emphasising the contribution of the team to his current purple patch. "If we are dominant as a team, you have considerably more opportunities as an attacker to make your mark up front," explained the Bavarian.
Müller into the top ten of DFB Cup goalscorers
Against TSG, Müller showed once more what he's made of. Through his tireless effort, he forced an own goal out of Benjamin Hübner to make it 1-1. "You have to be willing to go in where it hurts," he said afterwards. He himself then scored the goal to make it 2-1, getting on the end of a fine cross from David Alaba. "That goal wasn't just a tap-in either. I feel good right now," Müller said, delighted with the strike that moved him up to tenth place in the DFB Cup's all-time top goalscoring charts.
Not long later he assisted Robert Lewandowski to make it 3-1. Once again it was Müller's brave efforts that enabled the Polish international to head the ball into an empty net from twelve yards. The Bavarian has been directly involved in 15 goals in the last 14 competitive matches (seven goals, eight assists) and has scored in all four competitive matches in 2020. If he keeps this up, he could even defend his title as Bayern's Player of the Month.
Three Bayern fans can also celebrate
As well as Müller, a trio of Bayern fans also have reason to cheer, as three of those who vote in the poll win a Bayern shirt signed by this month's winner. Congratulations to Karlheinz Fehrenbach, Martina Hinsche and Robert Himmelberg for winning a jersey signed by Thomas Müller.
