They then take on FC Nantes in their final group game. Detailed video analysis of opposition
“Given the difficulty of the group, the six points were extremely important,” said a happy coach Matthias Luttenberger after the victories over FC Barcelona (1-0) and Schalke 04 (6-0). While Alex Alguacil, José Sánchez and Miguel Mestre play together at a gaming centre in Madrid, the Austrian is actively supporting his team remotely. “Video analysis is my main hobbyhorse. We were able to gather extensive material on each opponent from the beginning of the season.”
The coach then works up the material for each match, so that the players are not overwhelmed by the amount of information. “The boys get a 30-minute summary on the opposition for each game, so we have a fairly accurate idea of how they play.”
Bayern are well-placed after wins over Barcelona and Schalke.

First meeting against the champions
In Monaco and Nantes, however, Bayern are now up against two relatively unknown sides, as the cancellation of the league season due to coronavirus means they haven’t come up against either team directly. “We feel like our form is soaring. As the big favourites to win the tournament, Monaco faltered somewhat on the first day.,” assessed Luttenberger ahead of the meeting with the KONAMI eFootball.Pro League champions. “Nantes are already out and can therefore play without pressure, but if everything goes well against Monaco, so can we.” So, be there on Friday and cheer on our boys!
