Leroy Sané has signed for FC Bayern, and the 24-year-old has set himself the challenge of contributing his proven outstanding ability to the German record champions’ cause. At Manchester City, the winger posted consistently strong statistics before a serious knee injury put him out of action at the start of the 2019/20 season before making his comeback a few weeks ago. fcbayern.com has taken a look at the data from previous years and put together some fascinating facts and figures for Bayern’s new signing.

Eight trophies with Manchester City

In his four years with Manchester City, Sané picked up a total of eight trophies. He celebrated two league titles with the Citizens, as well as the FA Cup, three League Cups and two Community Shield victories.

City were stronger with him

Sané was in the starting XI for 30 of City’s 61 competitive fixtures in 2018/19, with his team scoring an average of 2.9 goals per game. Without Sané from the start, that tally stood at just 2.6. The team’s win rate with the forward was 83%, but only 80% without him.
