Bayern already have two titles in the bag this season with the DFB Cup and the Bundesliga, but Hansi Flick and his team are not satisfied yet. In the final phase of the Champions League starting in August, the men from Munich are going all out for the big prize. The second leg of the round of 16 tie against Chelsea will be held at the Allianz Arena on 8 August. Thanks to a 3-0 win at Stamford Bridge, the Reds are in a good position to book their place at the finals in Lisbon from 12 to 23 August.
First small groups, then team training
After those deserved 13 days off, Bayern begin their preparations for European glory with the first coronavirus tests before the first online training session on Tuesday, 21 August. The three new arrivals Leroy Sané, Tanguy Nianzou and Alexander Nübel will be integrated here. Sané has already been training at Säbener Straße since last Monday alongside Niklas Süle.
After further coronavirus tests, the transition to small group training (from 23 July) and team training (from 26 July) will follow. "I'm already looking forward to preparing for the next goal with the team after our holiday - and that's the Champions League final," Flick said two days after the DFB Cup final win as he brought the two domestic trophies to the FC Bayern Museum.
