30 championships and 20 DFB Cup wins. It's an incredible success story, and the trophies it has produced can be viewed in the FC Bayern Museum. And head coach Hansi Flick didn't want to miss out on handing over the latest additions in person two days after winning the Reds' 13th domestic double.
"Holding onto these two trophies, you become aware of what we've already achieved in this very special season," said Flick and emphasised: "I'm proud of my team and the entire staff." This feeling is reinforced as you walk through the exhibition. The 'Via Triumphalis' includes all the domestic championship titles and cups: one Viktoria, 29 Meisterschalen and 20 DFB Cups are lined up to show the historical significance of this season, which will also go down in the history of the Bundesliga due to the coronavirus pandemic.
But the season is not over yet. In August, when the Champions League resumes, FC Bayern will be challenging for their next title. "The team will give everything to try and win a third trophy," explained Hansi Flick.
The 55-year-old continued the tradition of celebrity trophy couriers, which was started when the club museum opened in 2012. The history of the German record champions also impresses a man like Flick, who has himself celebrated a double as well as three championship titles as an FC Bayern player. Visitors can now admire the authentic Meisterschale and DFB Cup for a few weeks before the championship trophy is replaced by an exact replica.
