What an impressive rate: Robert Lewandowski made his 200th Bundesliga appearance for FC Bayern on Saturday, and the striker marked the occasion in style, netting against Union Berlin. His equaliser in the 1-1 draw was his 175th Bundesliga goal since he joined the German record champions.
All in all, the exceptional forward has scored an average of 0.88 goals per game for FCB in Germany's top tier. This means that Lewandowski now even trumps Gerd Müller's rate of 0.85, which was the best Bundesliga goalscoring ratio at FC Bayern for decades. No other player with more than one Bundesliga appearance for Bayern comes close to the two.
Practice against the Berliners
Lewandowski has been particularly accurate in his encounters with Union so far. The 32-year-old scored for the third time in his third Bundesliga match against the men from the capital and is thus the only player in the still young history of this clash to have scored in every game played between the two sides.
