Entry in Golden Book - Munich honours FC Bayern

FC Bayern have been entered in the Golden Book of the City of Munich for a third time. The Mayor of Munich Dieter Reiter received president Herbert Hainer, chairman of the board Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, executive board member Hasan Salihamidžić, coach Hansi Flick and captain Manuel Neuer under coronavirus restrictions in a small group at the at the lesser meeting room at the town hall to honour the team for their historic six titles in a year and winning the 31st German league title. The requirements for entry into the Golden Book are exceptionally successful seasons. This award has been previously made to the German record champions after winning the Champions League in 2001 and the treble in 2013

Hainer: "We are very proud of our roots"

President Herbert Hainer: "We would like to thank the City of Munich for the honour of being entered into the Golden Book. Wherever FC Bayern play in the world, they are also representing their great home city of Munich. We are proud of our roots and will do everything we can to provide joy to our city and our fans in the future."

Rummenigge: "Happy that Munich is our home"

Chairman of the board Karl-Heinz Rummenigge: "Today is a special day for FC Bayern: We are entered in the Golden Book of the City of Munich for the third time. This honour is only presented after outstanding success and we are proud that our historic six-title season is being honoured in that way. We all hope our club will again be able to celebrate one or more titles next year together with our fans on Marienplatz. FC Bayern are happy that Munich is our home."
