FC Bayern on virtual world tour again

Just like last year, FC Bayern are once again to undertake a digital “Audi Summer Tour”. From 23-31 July, the German champions’ global fanbase will have the opportunity to witness new coach Julian Nagelsmann and his team’s pre-season programme in real time. The unifying motto for 2021 is: "Together we move". On 24 July, FC Bayern will play a friendly match against Amsterdam giants Ajax at the Allianz Arena as part of the “Audi Football Summit” (kick-off: 16.30 CEST).

FC Bayern board member Oliver Kahn: “In this pandemic, we as a club once again experienced the strength of the solidarity in our FC Bayern family. We are close, despite the distance that coronavirus requires. With our Audi Summer Tour, our team remains real and tangible for our fans around the world, even in times of coronavirus. Next summer we all hope we can go on our travels with our players again.”

FC Bayern board member for internationalisation and strategy Jörg Wacker: “The Audi Summer Tour is an important component of our internationalisation. In addition to the game against Ajax, the focus is on direct contact with the fans through many activities, because together with our partner Audi we want to bring our club, our players and our brand as close to people all over the world as possible in these coronavirus times. Our fans already know from the last Audi Summer Tour that they can look forward to a lot of exciting content again this summer.”

AUDI AG board member for sales and marketing Hildegard Wortmann: “We all want the fans to return to the stadiums soon. Nonetheless, the Audi Summer Tour in 2020 impressively demonstrated the opportunities offered by digitalisation - and brought fans from the most distant regions of the world closer to their idols. We’re looking forward to a great tour and a successful new season alongside our partner FC Bayern.”

At the “Audi Summer Tour”, the FC Bayern stars will compete in a very special kind of competition: Team Manuel Neuer with Joshua Kimmich, Alphonso Davies and Lucas Hernandez will compete against Team Robert Lewandowski with Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry and Jamal Musiala in a penalty challenge, in teqball and other unfamiliar disciplines. In addition, FC Bayern will provide a glimpse behind the scenes in keeping with the tour motto, with topics such as exercises and workouts in focus, and women’s players and legends of the record champions also in action. There are numerous interactive options for fans, for example through the global “FC Bayern World Run”, which is organised together with adidas for the “World’s Biggest Sports Family”. In China there is also a fan club tournament and other fan activities.

Important information about the tickets for the friendly against Ajax on 24 July at 16:30 CEST at the Allianz Arena: According to the Bavarian Infection Control Order, up to 500 spectators are currently allowed at football matches - the 2020 European Championship matches in Munich are exempt from this regulation as a pilot project. At the moment there is no information about the pandemic situation for the game on 24 July. If you would like a ticket, you can submit an inquiry to the webshop. The club will inform all interested parties by e-mail as soon as reliable information about spectator capacity and event regulations is available. Admission prices will be €12 to €50.
