The Cameroon national team, with Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, have sealed their place among the best four teams at the Africa Cup of Nations. The host nation triumphed 2-0 against Gambia on Saturday evening, although the Bayern striker was an unused substitute.
Cameroon far superior
After dominating the first half without any goals, a quickfire brace from striker Karl Toko Ekambi - who scored the opener in the 50th minute before striking again seven minutes later - ensured victory for the Indomitable Lions against a Gambia side who offered little goalscoring threat over the 90 minutes. Cameroon will play the winners of the match between Egypt and Morocco in the semi-finals on Thursday night (20:00 CET).
