The best statements from Oliver Kahn's virtual press conference

FC Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn answered questions in a virtual press conference at the Allianz Arena and spoke among other things about Niklas Süle's departure, possible contract extensions for the likes of Manuel Neuer and Robert Lewandowski, and the return of fans to the stadium.

Kahn on Niklas Süle 

"The negotiations dragged on for a very long time and we made him an offer, which he didn't accept. He wants to leave the club at the end of the season."

Kahn on possible Süle successors

"We have Lucas Hernández and Benjamin Pavard can also play in central defence. We have an excellent central defender in Dayot Upamecano and a young talent in Tanguy Nianzou. There are many possibilities, but of course FC Bayern always has to deal with players leaving." 

Kahn on Corentin Tolisso 

"After the injuries Corentin has suffered recently, it's amazing the level of football he is currently playing. He showed what he's capable of in Cologne and Berlin. For us, there's nothing better than the players performing at their best and getting into the game again and again."

"Robert is an absolute phenomenon. He's good for 25, 30 or probably more goals every season. He is an insurance policy for FC Bayern. Obviously we'll do everything to ensure we keep Robert with us for as long as possible."

"I think it's important to set this marker at this time. We need sensible solutions, not just for football but in all areas of society."

"I can very well imagine that Hasan will stay at Bayern Munich for a long time. I've been working with Hasan for a long time now. We work very well together, it's a lot of fun. We have also been through a lot together. Hasan and Marco Neppe, our technical director, are doing a very good job."
