Cameroon's dream of victory in their home Africa Cup of Nations is over - and there'll be no battle of two FC Bayern players in the final either. On Thursday evening, the host team, including Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, lost 3-1 on penalties in their semi-final against record winners Egypt. The 32-year-old Bayern forward did not feature.

Rooting for Sarr

The Indomitable Lions will now contest the third-place playoff against Burkina Faso on Saturday (20:00 CET), before Bayern defender Bouna Sarr and his Senegal side go up against Egypt in Sunday's final (20:00 CET) with a historic chance to win the AFCON title for the first time in the association's history.
