Thomas Müller came up against a familiar face in DC United manager Wayne Rooney. The 32-year-old Bayern man had opposed the former England international a number of times as players – and scored the odd goal or two. Two people still playing, though, are David Bada and Mecole Hardman for the Washington Commanders and Kansas City Chiefs respectively in the NFL. Both were there at Audi Field to see the 6-2 win over DC and posed for photos with Bayern's stars after the game. Bada was born in Munich and is a keen Bayern fan.
