
Saturday saw the the grand final round of the "adidas x FC Bayern Fan Masters", which the German record champions organised together with partner adidas to mark the inauguration of the "Sugar Pitch" at the "Sugar Mountain“ cultural centre in the Obersendling district of Munich. In the open football tournament, teams competed in a five-a-side format, with each match lasting six minutes. FCB Legend Giovane Élber represented FC Bayern at the event and livened up the atmosphere among players and spectators in bright sunshine. Check out our gallery for some cool photos from the day:
The "Sugar Pitch" is a sustainable football pitch opened by FC Bayern and its partner adidas for street footballers. Football enthusiasts can play there on a 30x15-metre soccer fives court. The artificial turf is 100 per cent carbon neutral and was made in part from sugar cane.
