Welcome to Washington, D.C.! On Monday evening, FC Bayern landed in the capital of the United States for their first stop on this year’s Audi Summer Tour 2022. The German record champions will spend around five days there, taking part in numerous events as well as a friendly against local club D.C. United, before they move on to Green Bay on Friday.

Here are the best photos from Bayern’s journey to America:

Before boarding the plane for the roughly nine-hour flight across the Atlantic, Julian Nagelsmann’s men completed a training session at Säbener Straße. And even after their arrival at the team hotel, the players were in demand. After a group dinner, Manuel Neuer and Co spoke to various media representatives. “We’re obviously looking forward to the experiences here in Washington and Green Bay, and are intrigued to see what awaits us,” said the Bayern captain, looking ahead to the coming days in the America.

The 36-year-old also revealed that the trip to the US capital has practical benefits for him. “I came to New York City and Florida on my summer holiday, and I was planning to go to Washington anyway,” added Neuer. “Depending on how much free time we get, it’s definitely worth having a look at the attractions here.” The goalkeeper will get to review the first highlight of the tour on Tuesday morning, when he and his teammates train on the pitch at Audi Field, the home stadium of D.C. United, for the first time.
