Claudio Pizarro on his special day against Hamburg
Hamburg became something of a favourite opponent for Claudio Pizarro during his long and successful career. The Peruvian striker scored 21 times against HSV, which is more than against any other club during his playing days. It’s hardly surprising, then, that his very special FC Bayern moment came against the Red Shorts.
Four-goal haul against HSV
It was “a festival“, Pizarro said when thinking back to that famous home game against Hamburg on 30 March 2013. “We scored a lot of goals. It was a wonderful game for us.” It finished 9-2 in favour of the Munich club, with four of those strikes coming from the former FCB No.14. One of them was even a memorable back-heel. You can find out in the video above what the Peruvian made of that day in part 1 of our Prost to the Past series.
