Scoring a goal in the Champions League, and doing so in front of a sold-out Allianz Arena, is special in itself. But to do so against a team filled with World Cup winners, it makes it a moment you’ll never forget. “It wasn’t just important for the team,” Martin Demichelis said in part 3 of Prost to the Past when he recalls his goal against Juventus in October 2005. “It was also special for me.”

“They had no chance against me”

That header in the 2-1 win over the Italians didn’t just give Bayern a foundation for eventually reaching the Champions League round of 16, but it also gave the Argentine some extra bonus points in his contract negotiations. The Juventus team at the time was packed with international stars like David Trezeguet, Fabio Cannavaro and Emerson, but “they had no chance against me”, the former centre-back stated, as he also explained his somewhat unusual heading training as a youngster.
