After five matches in just over two weeks, including wins over Mainz (4-0) and Wolfsburg (4-2), the majority of the FC Bayern squad enjoyed a day off on Tuesday. However, there was still some activity at the training ground on Säbener Straße. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (stomach bug), Ryan Gravenberch (knee) and Dayot Upamecano (adductor and toe), who all missed Sunday's trip to Wolfsburg through knocks, declared themselves fit and completed individual sessions. In addition, Sadio Mané continued his individual recovery programme and worked with the ball. The Senegalese is eager to make his comeback having been out since mid-November after an operation on his right fibula.
Then from Wednesday, Julian Nagelsmann and his team will press ahead with the preparations for the Bundesliga match at home to VfL Bochum this Saturday. The Munich men will be looking to consolidate their lead at the top of the table with a win as well as gain confidence for the hotly anticipated upcoming Champions League encounter at Paris Saint-Germain on 14 February.
