It was an audacious effort but turned into yet another great goal for the Benjamin Pavard collection as he pulled out a scissor-kick to volley home Bayern’s third following a corner in the 5-3 win at home to Augsburg. It was the Frenchman’s second of the afternoon, very much playing his part in the hosts overturning an early deficit to lead 4-1 at the break.

Pavard’s brilliant finish was duly recognised by Bayern fans, who named it the club’s Goal of the Month for March with 52 percent of votes. Joao Cancelo’s finish to make it 1-1 in the same game received 19 percent, followed by Alphonso Davies – again against Augsburg – on 12 percent.
