The Bundesliga title race continues to be exciting. Four matchdays before the end of the season, five teams can still become champions - the last time it was this close in this competition was 13 years ago. Leaders FC Bayern, who play SV Werder Bremen this Saturday evening (18:30 CET) still have the best chance of lifting the trophy, of course. 1. FCB's virtually flawless championship record
A good omen: Whenever FC Bayern have found themselves at the top of the table at the end of Matchday 30, they've also ended up as Bundesliga champions in 28 of the previous 29 occasions. The only exception was the 1992/93 season, when upcoming opponents Werder Bremen were able to chase down the record champions.
2. Bayern's incredible run against Bremen
In the Hinrunde, Bayern celebrated a resounding 6-1 win over Bremen.
Since losing 5-2 at the Allianz Arena in September 2008, Bayern are undefeated in 30 competitive matches against Werder: The record since then is 26 wins for the German record champions and four draws, with a goal difference of 94:20. No other team in German professional football has ever recorded a run like that against the same opponents. In addition, the men from Munich have won the most recent 13 matches at the Weser Stadium - also a record.
3. No Bundesliga fixture has been played more often
The north-south clash in the Bundesliga will be played for the 112th time - no other fixture in the history of the competition has been contested as often. Bayern (1,972) and Bremen (1,964) have also played the most games in the German top flight. The Munich side have defeated Werder 59 times, which is more than any other Bundesliga team (26 draws and 26 Werder wins).

Thomas Müller provided two assists for his teammates in Bayern's last appearance in Bremen to date, a 3-1 win in March 2021.

5. Weakest home team host best away team
With just 16 points, Werder, who were promoted at the end of last season, are the weakest home team of the current campaign. They've lost nine of their 15 home games so far - a record in the league. FC Bayern, on the other hand, have picked up the most points on the road in the league (27).
