The FC Bayern Campus has many stories to offer. Almost 200 players, 70 staff members and over 100 employees have been writing many stories at the FC Bayern youth performance centre since the summer of 2017. We opened this history book for you on 21 August 2022 - on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the Campus - and placed it squarely in your hands via your smartphone or tablet. True to the motto: 1 Season. 2 Teams. Many Stories. You've never been able to get as close to the Bayern talents as in the first season of the "FC Bayern Campus Stories" - available free of charge!
Ultimately, what counts for us is that a player makes it at senior level. That he eventually makes his debut coming off the bench at the Allianz Arena or that he can start his professional career elsewhere.

Supported by our partner Allianz, we shadowed the two Campus performance teams, the reserves and the U19s, with the camera during the entire 2021/22 season in training, at matches, team meetings and much more. The first season consists of six episodes, three each on the reserves and three on the U19s. Now the final two episodes of the first season are online, a second season will follow soon. Story 1: Forming as a Team
"Stand out through performance" - "How do we act?" - "The group has to live" - if you don't know much about these guiding principles of the record champions' U19s, you'll be smarter after this episode. Head coach Danny Galm - who now coaches the SV Sandhausen senior team in the third division - and his players take you along with them on their pre-season preparations and to their training camp, making your spine tingle during emotional dressing room speeches or moving you to tears when individual fate suddenly becomes more important than team success. Here are over 40 minutes of insights into youth football at the highest level as you've never seen it before.
Story 2: Bouncing Back from Relegation
In the second story, we take you on a journey through the entire preparation of the FC Bayern reserves for the 2021/22 Regionalliga season: Through previously unseen footage, you'll learn what happened behind the scenes, starting with the relegation from the third division, the start of training, the training camp in the Allgäu, friendlies, team events and the final internal preparations up to the start of the season - and you'll be part of the team of former coach Martín Demichelis!
Story 3: The Learning Curve
In Story 3 we take you on the U19s European journey! With the teams from Barcelona, Lisbon and Kiev, real tests of endurance await Galm's side in the top tier of European youth football. Bitter defeats, but also emotional victories are guaranteed. It ends with a real nerve-jangling thriller in the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup for the youngsters against the so far undefeated U19s of Hertha BSC. Spine-tingling moments are guaranteed! You really don't want to miss these glimpses through the keyhole, as evidenced by the dressing room speech given by athletics coach Stephan Kerth, who is now part of Thomas Tuchel's senior staff. The watchword: Semi-final menu! 😉
Story 4: Rollercoaster Ride
Ready for the promotion race! In episode 4 of FC Bayern Campus Stories, we follow the Bayern reserves on their journey through the Bavarian Regionalliga. The young team featuring Gabriel Vidović, Malik Tillman and Co. are determined to achieve direct promotion to division 2. However, the road to this goal is anything but easy: We accompanied the team of coach Martín Demichelis - who has meanwhile moved to Buenos Aires as head coach of the South American top club River Plate - on their mission and were right there for the derby against Sandro Wagner's Unterhaching and the top match against SpVgg Bayreuth. Emotional team talks as well as unprecedented insights into the work of the coaching staff provide a completely new and at the same time highly interesting perspective on the life of the reserves.
Story 5: Primed for More
The final phase of the season is underway! In episode 5 of the FC Bayern Campus Stories, the U19s of the German record champions take on VfB Stuttgart in the DFB Cup semi-final. In addition, you'll be up close and personal when Paul Wanner celebrates his debut in a Bundesliga match. In addition to insights into the joint training sessions of the senior and youth teams at Säbener Straße, you can also expect the last few games of the season as well as the farewell and departure of some of the youth players from the Campus boarding school. It's something for you to look forward to - and once again, it's well worth watching!
Story 6: The Final Leap
Things get emotional. Really emotional. In episode 6, the FC Bayern reserves give it everything they've got in the all-important battle with Bayreuth in the race for promotion - and learn a lesson for life in the process. We hear coach Demichelis speak so clearly and stirringly in the dressing room team talk that it no longer comes as a surprise that his new team - River Plate - recently won the Argentinian league in commanding fashion. There's an interview with Josip Stanišić in which he talks in detail for the first time about his breakthrough into the senior team and we witness the touching farewell of "legend" Nicolas Feldhahn. In particular, his message to the young talents in his speech at the final training session resonates for a long time and forms the crowning glory of the first season of "FC Bayern Campus Stories".
