Reaction to the win over Bochum
Herbert Hainer: "It was a thoroughly enjoyable game. We put them under pressure for 90 minutes and showed no let-up. The goals were brilliant. It was a very successful afternoon. The clean sheet pleases me the most."
Thomas Tuchel: "It feels very good; the attitude and approach were spot on. We didn't let up, that was important. It was a significant step forwards. We know how uncomfortable Bochum can be to play against. We knew we had to be dilligent but it looked easier than it was. We kept things simple and exploited the pace in our team. It was a very consistent, focused and determined performance at a high level."
Thomas Müller: "We implemented the match plan really well, and played with real drive and enthusiasm. Defensively we threw ourselves into the challenges. Bochum were bold in their approach - they can also do some damage - but we didn't let them into the game and played brilliantly."
Harry Kane: "We made it look easy with the way we played and our mentality going into the game. It could have been a difficult match. Bochum tend to go man-to-man, which makes it difficult for the player on the ball. Every one of us was switched on and put in a top performance. We played with tempo and made the most of our pace on the wings, which caused Bochum big problems. I'm delighted I can help the team with my goals. I'm happy and getting to know the team better and better. Today was a superb example of that. Hopefully I'll get a few more goals."
Sven Ulreich: "Ultimately, it's the win that matters most. Of course, it's always great to keep a clean sheet. We implemented our game plan from the start. We barely let up and created good goalscoring chances."
Reaction from the Bochum gamp
Thomas Letsch (Bochum head coach): "Congratulations to Bayern. They gave us a hiding today. We deliberately went out there with a bold approach, but just couldn't cope with Bayern's power and speed. It's tough when Bayern find their groove. Combined with a bad peformance on our part, it hurts. It's important that we pick ourselves back up, which I'm sure we will."
Kevin Stöger (Bochum midfielder): "We know Bayern can make things happen in the one-on-ones. They did a brilliant job of that. We also conceded from set pieces, which we wanted to avoid. The first and second goals happened quickly. It's difficult here when that happens."
Bernado (Bochum defender): "It was a difficult game today. We had a plan, we didn't just want to sit back. We wanted to try something. Bayern are a top team with good players, so it's always a tough ask. We were a bit too open when they broke out from the back."
