Germany lose to Turkey - Coman brace for France

Germany lose friendly to Turkey
The German national team were beaten 3-2 in a friendly against Turkey in Berlin. After Kai Havertz's early opener in the fifth minute, set up by Leroy Sané, the Turks turned the game around through goals by Ferdi Kadıoğlu (38') and Bayern academy product Kenan Yıldız (45'+2). The hosts equalised three minutes into the second half through Niclas Füllkrug, but the visitors struck the winner in the 70th minute through a Yusuf Sarı penalty. Sané and Joshua Kimmich both started for the Germans, while Serge Gnabry and Leon Goretzka were introduced at the same time as Kimmich came off in the 71st minute. Thomas Müller did not feature. Julian Nagelsmann's side play their next friendly against Austria in Vienna on Tuesday.
Coman nets brace in France's 14-0 win
France enjoyed a hugely one-sided victory in their EURO qualifier at home to Gibraltar on Saturday evening. Les Bleus won by a record scoreline of 14-0 in Nice, with Bayern duo Kingsley Coman (66 minutes) and Dayot Upamecano (81 minutes) both in the starting XI. Coman netted the sixth and ninth goals. The thumping victory ensured France, who had already qualified for next summer's tournament, maintained their perfect record with seven wins from seven games in qualifying. Coman and Co round off their campaign against Greece in Athens on Tuesday.
Davies and Canada triumph in Jamaica
Davies and the Canadian national team won 2-1 in the first leg of their CONCACAF Nations League quarter-final against Jamaica on Saturday. Jonathan David put the Canadians in front in first-half stoppage time in Kingston, which was cancelled out by Shamar Nicholson in the 56th minute. Canada had the final say, though, Stephen Eustáquio scoring on 86 minutes to give them a one-goal advantage in the tie. Davies started and came off in added time. The second leg takes place in the early hours of Wednesday (1:30 CET) in Toronto.
Peretz watches Israel loss
Israel have missed out on automatic qualification for EURO 2024 after a 2-1 defeat to Romania on Saturday, which was played in Felcsút in Hungary. FCB goalkeeper Daniel Peretz was an unused substitute. With one match left to play, the Israelis can no longer finish in the top two in Group I, but they are guaranteed a place in the play-offs (21 to 26 March 2024).
