20 impressive facts from 124 years of FC Bayern

124 years of FC Bayern - that's 124 years full of triumph, emotion and passion. To mark the club's anniversary on 27 February 2024, fcbayern.com has summarised the best facts from the history of the German record champions.

1. Record champions, record cup winners & record double winners

With 33 German titles, FC Bayern are the undisputed record champions. Since the introduction of the Bundesliga in 1963/64, the Munich side have won more than half (32) of the 60 titles. FCB celebrated their first league title in 1932. Bayern have won the DFB Cup 20 times, and are record winners by a wide margin there (Werder Bremen follow in second place with six wins). In 2020, FCB celebrated winning the double (Bundesliga & DFB Cup) for the 13th time - no other German team have managed this feat more than once (1937 FC Schalke 04, 1978 1. FC Köln, 2004 Werder Bremen, 2012 Borussia Dortmund).

2. Most successful years in the club's history

In 2013 Bayern recorded the most points in a Bundesliga season (91 points under Jupp Heynckes). In that season, the Bavarians also became the first German team to win the treble of league, cup and Champions League. This treble success was repeated and even topped in the 2019/20 season. In February 2021, FCB secured their sixth title in a year at the FIFA Club World Cup. Only FC Barcelona (2009) had previously achieved this feat.
