Thomas Tuchel oversees session, Bryan Zaragoza trains for the first time at Bayern, Noussair Mazraoui returns
Bryan Zaragoza had a big smile on his face as he walked out to train with Bayern for the first time on Friday afternoon. The 22-year-old Spaniard had joined from Granada the previous day and adds to the team’s flexibility in attack. The new No.17 was given the traditional welcome by his teammates on the pitch at Säbener Straße.
Tuchel oversees final Gladbach preparations
Head coach Thomas Tuchel was able to take charge of training on Friday.
The final session ahead of Saturday’s Bundesliga game at home to Borussia Mönchengladbach was overseen by head coach Thomas Tuchel. The 50-year-old had stayed at home the last two days with flu but will “in all likelihood” be on the touchline to face Gladbach, as sporting director Christoph Freund stated while standing in at the press conference.
Mazraoui back from AFCON
Noussair Mazraoui is back at Bayern after competing at the Africa Cup of Nations with Morocco.
Defender Noussair Mazraoui was also back in training on Friday after the 26-year-old had finished competing at the Africa Cup of Nations. His Morocco side was knocked out in the last 16 by South Africa.
