FC Bayern have re-signed Armindo Sieb from Greuther Fürth, making use of a buy-back option for the 21-year-old forward after he joined the Bundesliga 2 club in summer 2022. Sieb’s new contract in Munich is valid through to 30 June 2027. He will spend the next two seasons on loan at Mainz.
Christoph Freund, FC Bayern sporting director: “We’ve been closely following Armindo over his two years in Fürth. He’s progressed very well, especially the last season. He was among the best players in his age group for goal involvements in the second division in 2023/24. Armindo is an extremely quick and aggressive player. He’s a very good fit for Mainz with his style, and the Bundesliga is now the next logical step for him.”
Sieb first arrived at the FC Bayern Campus from the Hoffenheim academy in 2020 and made his senior debut that October in the DFB Cup. He has made 45 appearances for the FCB reserves in the 3. Liga and Regionalliga (12 goals, six assists). He played 66 games in all competitions for Fürth (17 goals, four assists) and won his first cap for Germany’s U21s in March.
Frans Krätzig will also be out on loan next season at VfB Stuttgart:
