Focused work with fresh legs: on Wednesday afternoon, new FC Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany got his players working on the ball on the training pitch for the first time. The first 15 minutes of the session, which the EURO participants were not yet involved in, was open to the press, with fcbayern.com showing a free live stream. After the warm-up routine with strength exercises, short match situation drills and an intensive sprinting segment were on the programme.
The 38-year-old coach also gave a quick address to the 13 first-team players. Alongside Serge Gnabry, Leon Goretzka, Aleksandar Pavlović and others, six youngsters also participated in the session in Jonathan Asp Jensen, Adin Licina, Javier Fernández, Adam Aznou, Nestory Irankunda and Anthony Pavlesic.

Before the first competitive match in mid-August, more open training sessions are in store for Bayern fans. The Munich men will also meet their fans on the pitch in Seoul during this year's Audi Summer Tour. The first friendly against FC Rottach Egern on 24 July at the training camp on Tegernsee will likewise be streamed live.
