FC Bayern's 2024 summer schedule

A bit more patience is required but the planning is already well under way. After an action-packed summer of football, the German record champions begin pre-season on 15 July – one day after the finals of the European Championship and Copa América – to lay the foundation for a successful 2024/25 campaign.

New FC Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany will welcome the first players for the start of training two weeks after his official start date. Due to the many internationals involved in tournaments, however, the Belgian will not have the whole squad at his disposal to begin with.

Overview of FC Bayern's pre-season dates

Training camp at Tegernsee

For those players who are there from the start, medical and performance tests are the first item on the agenda in mid-July before Kompany will gather the group on the pitch for the first time on 17 July. One week later, the Bavarians head to Tegernsee for a training camp from 22 to 24 July, as part of which FCB will play the traditional friendly against local club Rottach-Egern on 24 July.

Ninth Audi Summer Tour

Following a further friendly against fourth-tier side 1. FC Düren on 28 July, Bayern will embark on the Audi Summer Tour for the ninth time between 31 July and 5 August. This year, the record champions are visiting South Korea and alongside many other events, will play a friendly against Tottenham Hotspur as part of the Coupang Play Series in Seoul on 3 August. Bayern will also hold an open training session at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on 2 August at 6pm local time, where fans will have the opportunity to watch the team at work. Tickets for the match and the training session will be available on Coupang Play from 28 June.

Bayern will then take on Spurs again in their final friendly before the start of the new season – this takes place at the Visit Malta Cup in London on 10 August. Kompany takes charge of his first competitive match six days later, on Friday 16 August, away to SSV Ulm 1846 in the first round of the DFB Cup, before the Bundesliga kicks off the following weekend. The German Football League (DFL) announced the fixtures for the new season on 4 July.
