A brace inside five minutes – including an absolute stunner: Michael Olise demonstrated top form in a rout for the French U23 team on Thursday evening. In a 7-0 friendly win over the Dominican Republic in Toulon ahead of the Olympic Games in Paris, FC Bayern's new signing started for Thierry Henry's team and got his name on the scoresheet in spectacular style after the break.
Olise brace early in second half

Having finished off a counter-attack from close range in the 51st minute, the 22-year-old attacker had a go from greater distance just four minutes later. After an attempted clearance by the visitors' defence, the ball landed straight at the feet of Olise, who hammered an unstoppable half-volley into the net from around 25 metres (see the highlights video from the French Football Federation).
Olympic dress rehearsal on Wednesday
The other goals for the clearly superior hosts were scored by Enzo Millot (19'), Alexandre Lacazette (28', 49'), Maghnes Akliouche (80') and Rayan Cherki (90'). The French team continue their preparations for the Olympics next Wednesday with a friendly against Japan (21:05 CEST in Toulon), their final warm-up match ahead of the first group game at the Olympics against USA on 24 July (21:00 CEST in Marseille).
Michael Olise isn't the only Bayern player who'll be involved at the Olympics:
