Bring on the new season! The first FC Bayern players started their preparations for the 2024/25 campaign on Monday with the mandatory medical tests. Before the official start of training on Wednesday at Säbener Straße, Leon Goretzka, Serge Gnabry and Co. underwent various radiological and cardiological tests at Munich's Barmherzige Brüder hospital. Lung function and blood tests were also on the agenda.
In the afternoon, the Bayern players continued with part one of their performance diagnostics at Säbener Straße, completing various tests for stamina, reaction and agility in individual groups in the performance centre.
The second part of the performance diagnostics programme is scheduled for Tuesday, before the players take to the pitch together for the first time on Wednesday under the guidance of new head coach Vincent Kompany. Some FCB players have already trained individually at Säbener Straße in recent weeks to get fit for the start of the season.

In the five weeks of preparation leading up to the first competitive match, the DFB Cup tie at SSV Ulm 1846 on 16 August, the men from Munich want to lay the foundations for a successful season. Among other things, the German record champions will take part in a training camp at Lake Tegernsee (22 to 24 July) and the Audi Summer Tour in South Korea (31 July to 5 August).
