Wins for Harry Kane and Konrad Laimer with England and Austria

The captain is back on board! Three days after the surprising 2-1 defeat to Greece, for which Harry Kane was sidelined, the FC Bayern striker celebrated an important away win with the Three Lions on Sunday evening. Kane returned to the starting XI for the 3-1 (1-0) victory in Finland in the UEFA Nations League and played in the centre of the England attack until coming off in the 69th minute. Jack Grealish (18'), Trent Alexander-Arnold (74') and Declan Rice (84') got on the scoresheet for the visitors, while Arttu Hoskonen (87') only managed a consolation goal for the home side.

"It wasn't an easy game. But it was important to get a good result after the disappointing game against Greece," Kane said on Instagram after the final whistle: "It was a good reaction, an important win, also with a view to the second leg in Greece in the next international break." Kane and Co. (nine points from four games) face the Greeks (12 points) on 14 November and need a win at the Group B2 leaders to keep alive their chances of returning to League A of the Nations League.
