FC Bayern set to celebrate 125th birthday

FC Bayern celebrates 125 years of existence on 27 February 2025. The German record champions will mark this special anniversary in various ways. The central ceremony will take place on the evening before the birthday, when FC Bayern invites its closest companions from sport, society and politics from the past decades to a joint celebration at the Paulaner Nockherberg.

Another highlight of the anniversay year will be the Franz Beckenbauer Cup, which will be staged on 17 March at the SAP Garden. In honour of "Der Kaiser", the FC Bayern Legends, coached for the first time by World Cup winner Philipp Lahm, will play in a small-sided tournament against teams from Real Madrid, AC Milan Glorie, Borussia Dortmund and VfB Stuttgart as well as another top international cub to be confrirmed. The proceeds will go towards the Franz Beckenbauer Foundation, which helps people in need. More information and tickets for this one-off event can be found HERE.

To mark the anniversary, FC Bayern has also developed its own collection for its fans. Over 125 years, a special bond has grown between the club and its fans around the world. This unifying identification and passion is to be expressed in a celebratory outfit, among other things.

The club has also planned various campaigns to be implemented throughout the anniversary year; for example, the FC Bayern members' magazine '51' will be published as a special edition in February to kick things off, and there will be numerous dialogue formats from the club as well as the fan and fan club support department. In addition, the German record champions are publishing a new chronicle for the anniversary with vivid anecdotes, facts and portraits of formative figures such as former presidents Kurt Landauer, Franz Beckenbauer and Uli Hoeneß from 125 years of the club's unique history.
