It’s a hat-trick of titles for Jamal Musiala as he follows up his October and November Player of the Month gongs by also being named Bayern’s best performer in December. And it’s a thoroughly deserved accolade, as the 21-year-old once again stood out last month with a return of four goals and two assists across five games to close out 2024.
Over half of votes
Fans needed little more to convince them that he was their man, with around 51 percent of votes cast going to Musiala, seeing off competition from Joshua Kimmich (11 percent) and Konrad Laimer (seven percent).
Musiala was directly involved in two goals in the 4-2 win over Heidenheim (scored two), the 5-1 victory away at Shakhtar Donetsk (goal and assist) and in the 5-1 triumph at home to RB Leipzig (goal and assist). It once again underlined his importance to this Bayern team, with the two December fixtures in which he didn’t play a part in a goal both resulting in defeat (vs. Bayer Leverkusen in the DFB Cup and away at Mainz in the league). Let’s hope Jamal can keep up his award-winning performances into 2025 as well.
Musiala also picked up another award in January:
