The centre-back has a problem with his Achilles tendon, as head coach Vincent Kompany confirmed at Friday’s press conference. “We hope he’s not out for too long, but definitely for the next couple of weeks. It’s about managing his workload,” the Belgian explained. Kim will therefore not feature for South Korea in their World Cup qualifiers over the international break.
